Walgreens and Harmon Haul!

Hey everyone! I feel as though I have not bought very much makeup recently so today I decided to try out some of the new (and old) drugstore makeup. I was running out of my foundation, concealer and my powder. The foundation and concealer I have never tried before so I am excited to test them out. The powder was a repurchase because I really like it! I also bought a clarifying shampoo and some headbands. Now I will show you in depth of what I bought!

First I went to Walgreens:

This is the Neutrogena anti-residue shampoo it cost $6
I am running out of my concealer so I thought I would try out a new one and even though it says age rewind I did not get it for the anti-aging, I got it to correct my dark circles. This is the Maybelline Age Rewind concealer and it costs $10.50

Then I went to Harmon:

The main reason I went to Harmon is to find this foundation. I heard good things about it so I wanted to try it out! It is the Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation and it costs $7.50.

I use this powder on a daily basis, it is the Almay NEarly Naked Powder and I am running low so I purchased another one it costs $11. (Also, I did not realize this until I got home but the powder and the foundation are different brands but they are both "Nearly Naked" collection! How weird?)

I bought these Goody Slide-Proof because I like to wear them when I workout or when I play tennis!

I hope you all enjoyed this haul! LEt me know if you want me to review any of these products!

Nail Polish of the Day 1/18/13

Hey everyone! I painted my nails again (whats new?). For me, I do not like the look of chipped nails so as soon as it chips, I always take it off and repaint them. Today I painted them the color Suzi Skies in the Pyrenes by OPI. In the bottle the color looks like a really dark navy blue color, but on my nails it looks more black :( which was upsetting to me because the blue looked really really pretty, but oh well. I can still tell it is not black but I have to look really closely and then I can tell it has a hint of navy blue. Also, for the first coat of this polish the color comes off really streaky and sheer, but after the second coat it looks opaque and it is not streaky. Overall, I like this color but I do not think it is worth the $8 because it is nothing really special, it just looks like a black.

I hope you all enjoyed this post!

Loreal Telescopic Explosion Mascara Review

Hey everyone. So lately I have been loving making my eyelashes very voluminous and long! I recently purchased the Loreal Telescopic Explosion Mascara in Black and Waterproof. I love the formula of the mascara because it is not too dry but also its not runny and too liquidy. Its just right! This is the mascara that has the wand that looks almost like a torture ball. This design allows you to coat every eyelash and get really exact! The one thing I do not like about the design is the length of the tube that connects the wand to the handle. It is very long and I feel as though I am going to break it as I but it in the tube to get more mascara on theI bought my  tube of the mascara. Other than that I love the mascara and the formula. I bought mine at Target for about $8.50.

What I have been loving to do for my mascara everyday is first I apple the Loreal Voluminous Million Lash in Black also in Waterproof. After, I use the Loreal Telescopic Explosion MAscara and coat my lashes again but mainly focusing on my inner corner lashes and my outer corner lashes. Once I do that I use what ever mascara is left on the wand and apply it lightly to my lower lashes (just a little!).

Overall, I love this mascara and I think it makes my lashes look thick and voluminous. Let me know your favorite mascara in the comments because I love trying out new mascaras!

Photo of my New Years makeup when I wore this mascara!

I hope you all enjoyed!

Rings and Tings Review!

Hey everyone! I do not know if you know this or not but I kind-of sort of have a tiny obsession with jewelry (and by that I mean I am COMPLETELY in love with it!) A few months back a company, called Rings and Tings, asked my if I wanted to try out their products and if I liked them I could review them on my blog. Of course I said I would try them but I told them that I reserve the right to be 100% honest in my post. What they did was they chose a few pieces of jewelry for me to try out. So with out further ado.... the review!

Lets start off with shipping. Now I will warn you that for me it was slow and that is because one, it was around the holiday time so they were pretty busy and two it had to ship all the way from Japan. Other than that the shipping and packaging was good. The items came in a envelope with bubble wrap and all of the jewelry came unharmed.

The JEWELRY!!!!

The company sent me a few different items. The sent me one ring, a bracelet and a necklace.

The ring:

This is an animal claw ring (maybe not to everyones taste) but I love it! Also, I have really tiny figures so another bonus of this ring is that it is adjustable!! (how great all you small fingered people?!). The color is an antiqued gold. I do not think this ring will change color because it looks and feels like really great quality. The ring only costs $4! http://www.ringsandtings.com/collections/jewellery/products/gold-animal-claw-ring

The necklace:

This is an Eiffel Tower necklace with a velvet chain. This necklace has a long chain and the charm is silver. This necklace is not my exact style but it is still really cute. I asked my sister if she wanted it (because her style is different from mine) and she said that she loves it an wanted it. But the quality of the necklace is really good. If you think the chain looks a little "cheap" looking, you can always remove the chain and use another one if you like the charm. http://www.ringsandtings.com/collections/necklace/products/star-necklace (I couldn't find the exact necklace on the website but I found one very similar but with a star charm)

The Bracelet:

The Pendent says handmade so I assure the bracelet is handmade. :) The band is velvet, fake I assure and velvet is very in style). I love the brown color of the bracelet. The bracelet is very good quality and I know I will be wearing this bracelet a lot! I could not kind this bracelet on the website but I really like the other bracelets on the website.

Overall, I really like the website and the products they have. From what I received, the products are good quality and I would defiantly buy more from there site because the jewelry is so cute! I hope you all enjoyed this review!

I was sent these products for free but my review is 100% honest.

Take the Challenge Today!

Hey everyone. I am thinking of starting a new series where  I put up a quote/ challenge on my blog. I will give you all my interpretation of the quote and in the comments you can agree with me, disagree with me, tell me why you disagree/agrees etc. Also, I will give you a fun easy little challenge for you to complete.  I think this will be fun because I want everyone to remember that even though makeup and fashion is great and I love it, the most important "beauty tool" is your personality and the type of person you are!

"A woman whose smile is open and whose expression is glad has a kind of beauty no matter what she wears."- Anne Roiphe

I think this quote means that you can be dressed in diamonds and the most expensive brands and be wearing a ton of makeup, but if you are a grouchy person, no one is going to think you are beautiful. If you are a happy person and you smile a lot then that is what will make you beautiful.

So I hope you all enjoyed my interpretation of this quote by Anne Roiphe and let me know if you would like more of these posts.

CHALLENGE:
I challenge all of you to smile to at least one person everyday. I guarantee you will brighten up there day and make them feel like some one cares (even if they are a complete stranger to you) because you do not know what is going on in there life and what there issues are. Also, it will make you feel better and bring your mood up! Will you take this challenge?!

xoxo
Cami

P.S. If you can think of a better name than Take the Challenge Today for these type of posts let me know in the comments and if I chose the name you suggested I will let everyone know that you came up with the clever name! (Things to consider: I hope these brighten your mood and someone elses, they include a quote and a challenge)

Nail Polish of the Day! 1/6/13

Hey everyone. Guess what!... I painted my nails (again). I really like this color because it is a muted grey and I think it suits my skin tone well and I think it will look good on a lot of people! In addition to the color, I really like the formula. The polish is by the brand Orly and this was my first (but certainly not last) polish by the brand. The polish was not streaky at all and it just dried very nice and smooth! I defiantly recommend you check out this brand if you are in the market for a good nail polish! The color I used is called Mirror Mirror.
